Style: Surrealism

Surrealist tattoos are typically executed in black and grey or colour, with detailed shading and occasional realism elements. They are defined by dreamlike compositions, altered proportions, impossible perspectives and the blending of figures, objects, animals and landscapes. Common pieces include melting clocks, fragmented human forms, symbolic scenes and visual collages. This style appeals to clients looking for a tattoo with conceptual, narrative or symbolic weight, who are open to complex, fully custom designs.

Also works in micro realism

Micro realism is a subcategory of realism applied to very small tattoos. It uses fine needles, minimal or near-absent outlines, soft shading and sometimes pointillism to build detail within a limited space. The visual goal is to resemble a miniature real or photographic image, with subtle gradients and understated contours. Common subjects include portraits, animals, flowers, insects, objects and fictional elements. It is usually chosen by people looking for discreet, detailed, small-scale tattoos.
