Style: Neotraditional

Neotraditional builds on the foundations of American traditional tattooing (bold outlines, flat colour) while adding depth, more complex shading and detailed illustrative compositions. Visually it combines strong linework with smooth gradients, saturated colour palettes or, in darker versions, solid black with selective accents. Common subjects include creatures, hooded figures, narrative scenes and fantasy or folklore motifs. It suits people looking for a tattoo with strong visual impact, clear readability and a distinct illustrative character.

Also works in blackwork

Blackwork is a style that uses black ink as the sole colour. The technique combines precise linework, solid black fills and, depending on the piece, hatching, dotwork or negative space to create contrast and volume. It is recognised by high contrast, geometric shapes, patterns, tribal, abstract and figurative motifs, and large-coverage compositions. Common placements include sleeves, forearms, legs, chest and back. It suits people looking for a monochromatic tattoo with clean lines and a strong visual presence.
